Watch together
Watch an episode with friends on other devices, paused, played and skipped together. Each person can use their own account, on desktop or Android, as long as everyone is signed in to the same sync server.
Start a party
- Play an episode.
- Choose Watch together at the top of the player, then Start.
- Share the link, or let a phone scan the QR code with its camera.
The button shows how many people are in the party. Episodes from your own folders can't be shared, because the others can't reach those files.
Join a party
- From a phone: scan the QR code with the camera, or open a shared link. The page that opens has an Open in Aikatsu button.
- On desktop: click a shared
aikatsu://link, or choose Join a party (the group icon at the bottom of the side rail) and paste the link. - On Android: you can also paste a link in Settings → Sync → Join a party.
Aikatsu opens the party's episode at the party's position. You need:
- To be signed in to the party's sync server. Any account on it works.
- The same source installed and turned on. Aikatsu names it if it's missing.
While watching
Anyone can pause, play, seek, change the speed or move to another episode, and everyone follows. The latest change wins, and the player shows who made it. If someone falls more than a couple of seconds behind, their player catches up.
Leaving the player leaves the party. A party ends 10 minutes after everyone has left.
Each person's progress is saved to their own history.
