Use the video player
Resume where you stopped, change quality, or play the next episode automatically. Available tracks and qualities depend on the video.
Quality and playback
Set a preferred quality in Settings, or choose a different one from the player. Aikatsu remembers your quality choice. If the exact resolution isn't available, the source can fall back to another one.
The player also has playback speed, volume, and audio and subtitle track controls. You can switch tracks when the stream has more than one. Indonesian subtitles are often part of the video itself, so there may be no separate subtitle track to switch off.
If playback fails before it starts, the player can try other available qualities. A broken source or expired stream can still need a retry or another source.
Pick up where you left off
Aikatsu saves watch progress locally. Reopen a show from Home to continue, or choose an episode from its details page. When a resume choice appears, you can carry on from your saved position or start again.
Progress is saved on your device. Use Aikatsu sync to share it with your other devices. History doesn't sync to AniList or MyAnimeList accounts.
Skip openings and endings
Use Skip intro & outro in Settings for automatic skips, or use the player's skip control when a segment is available. Desktop also has the S shortcut.
Skip times come from AniSkip and aren't available for every anime or episode. An ending skip also depends on where you are in the episode and whether there's a next episode.
Keep watching
With Autoplay next episode enabled, the player shows a short countdown at the end of an episode. Cancel the countdown to stop watching. Previous and next episode controls are also available when another episode exists.
